12 Lessons.

This important entry level course combines both cartoon drawing and idea development.  The desired outcome is the single panel gag or magazine cartoon. This type of stand-alone cartoon is an art form in itself.  It’s also the fundamental building block to other types or kinds of cartoon art found in the ToonMaker.com program. You’ll learn and practice the process of generating or coming up with ideas, then translating them into amusing visual gag cartoons at the pre-publication stage.  Emphasis is placed on effective and amusing visual communications using the tools of drawing, design and composition. Lessons will include discussions on materials, techniques, equipment, tips, procedures, gag writing and many practical exercises.  When completed, each lesson will be sent to ToonMaker.com for professional and personal review and critique.
